The Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County recently announced the formation of a Business and Industry Partnership (BIP), which will help educate local businesses about resources and information available to them right here in Centre County.

The goal of BIP is to ensure that all businesses in the county have awareness of and access to services that are critical for growth and to remain competitive.

To achieve this goal, the partnership consists of five teams, which, through personal visits with local companies, will extend their assistance to the entire business community—not just members of the CBICC.

According to CBICC President and CEO Vern Squier, “The purpose of the partnership is to work more closely with individual businesses in order to determine unmet needs, address obstacles to growth, or identify untapped opportunities.”

This new program represents a critical step in not only keeping business alive in the county, but driving economic growth.

Companies interested in learning about the partnership or in meeting with a BIP team should contact Jennifer Myers, CBICC Vice President of Economic Development, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., (814) 234-1829, ext. 4.
