Following Penn State’s announcement of a $1 million EdTech Network as part of President Barron’s $30 Million Invent Penn State Initiative, Penn State held their inaugural EdTech Network Summit.

On November 2, over 45 CEOs of educational technology companies came together at The Penn Stater to discuss partnerships that will enhance student success.

President Barron gave remarks at the beginning of the event and was followed by Jaime Casap, chief education evangelist at Google, who delivered the Keynote Address. Discussions throughout the conference included nurturing academic excellence, creating a digital learning environment, student and alumni engagement, and scaling operations for the future.

The EdTech Network was created to address a need for new learning experiences for college students and is a nationwide effort to encourage collaboration between leading EdTech companies to help provide those experiences.

The network is a key part of Invent Penn State, as partnerships will help drive job creation, economic development, and student success.
